Maxwell House = Coffee Blues

We took some couch surfers to dinner tonight at Rey David and when I was paying the check I saw Maxwell House coffee.

I can’t say I’ve ever had the pleasure of sipping Maxwell House (nor have I ever considered spending $15 on a jar of it) but it was a welcome sight because it reminds me of my favorite blues musician: Mississippi John Hurt. He has a wonderful song called Coffee Blues. “Maxwell House…good to the last drop.”
