Every year some very dedicated people organize the Hope Gala at ECA. It is a charity event that showcases the talents of our community members. Kat and I took part in the staff dance this year (as well as last year, and the year before) but this year Kat suggested that we do a little comedy skit as well. Kat and I have the Middle School audience covered so we recruited Mr. Larios, the hero and PE teacher of all ECA’s youngest students, in order to fully capture the Elementary audience.
The Banana/Bandanna skit is a classic from camps all across the United States, but I first learned it when I took my 6th grade class in Seattle to Camp Waskowitz where the venerable Mr. Ron performs. For your viewing pleasure, here is our rendition:
Mr. Ron would be proud. That skit never really gets old.
