Cool Bananas

Back Online, Literally

On August 1st we arrived back in Caracas for a new school year. This time with four suitcases, not 24.

We arrived to our #1 nanny, Dora. So thankful.

We arrived to a parallel currency 7 points higher than when we left in June.

We arrived to a shrinking student body as companies continue to pull out of Venezuela.

We arrived to consistent 75-80 degree weather.

We arrived to a functioning car that was in the same spot we left it.

We arrived to a disconnected phone and internet (my best excuse for not writing sooner; fixed now, though).

We arrived to relatively cheap food but generally poor customer service.

We arrived to the happy life that we are living.

Last year was indeed quite exciting; I’m sure this year will be as well.

I do enjoy writing, so I’ll continue to inform those who remain interested. (And maybe Kat will write a few more posts this year.) Cheers!
