Graham’s Holiday Concert [Video]

The last post has some cute pics of G on stage at his holiday concert. The video of the concert has been made available on YouTube so I thought I’d share it as well.

I’d like to say that I fully understand how a little kid concert can be trying to watch if you are not intimately related to one of the performers on stage. So this post isn’t for everyone. But if you are close to G and enjoy (or at least can tolerate) little kids on stage then keep reading.

For the concert this year the choir teacher had all the kids dress up as their favorite toy. Gender roles are pretty well defined in Latin America so there were lots of little girl princesses and lots of little boy super heroes. Graham decided to dress as Ceres, Graham’s most current alter-ego. Ceres comes from the dwarf planet Ceres, apparently. He wears a cape, a mask, and a light-up mohawk. Kat and I were proud of Graham’s originality and of course happy he didn’t insist on buying a pre-made costume of a well-known comic hero.

You can see Graham (er, Ceres) enter from stage left at 9:38. — The first song he is a part of, The Teddy Bear Tango, starts at 10:35. — At 12:50 G talks in the microphone. — At 15:25 the Pre-K boys sing their super hero song, the lyrics of which they all wrote together. — If at this point you can still handle more, the last song he’s a part of starts at 19 minutes. Enjoy.
