Graham has a excellent sense of time and calendars. Usually it’s a pretty good thing; it’s useful for explaining travel plans and birthday parties and such. Often he will be the one to remind us of upcoming events. However, when he is nervous about an event, we’ll hear about it every day. Most recently, he had some anxiety about today’s Red Shirt Holiday Concert. So every day for the last two weeks we’ve heard, “I’m not going to school on Friday, December five.”
Today came, and Graham went to school. He spoke in the microphone to intro a song. He sang with gusto and seemed to be really enjoying himself on stage. His teacher hypothesizes that the anxiety at home was a unique show of his own just for us. That may be true, and it may not. Either way, we’re proud of him for arranging his own super hero costume and joining his class in a super adorable performance.
