Graham fears going to the doctor. So one of the most fino cambur things about Graham’s first doctor visit in Venezuela was that the pediatrician didn’t wear the normal doctor clothes. For this upped the credibility of our story about not going to the doctor but rather to the “medicine lady.”
Graham was a champ. He answered the medicine lady’s questions. He sat calmly and bravely to give a blood sample. Not one complaint. Not one tear. Thank the Lord it wasn’t Dengue or Chickungunya. Just a virus and fever that subsided in time for him to return to school for Halloween and a friend’s birthday party. All around an astounding accomplishment, I’d say.
