Kat’s family came to visit for Spring Break and we headed to Panamá for 5 days. We checked out the old Spanish part of Panamá City called Casco Viejo, and then headed to the Caribbean side for some beach time in a small town called Portobelo — once the most important port/harbor for the Spanish as almost all of the gold passed through the counting house there. It was no stranger to pirate attacks back then; now it’s just a run-down sleepy town that flushes it’s poop into the harbor.
On the way back to Panamá City for our last night we rode the historic Panamá Canal Railway. Comfy and scenic, it was pretty awesome. And of course, Graham was in heaven.
Here are some pics from our travels.
